Project Description
Project Details
The Clem 7 was the largest tunnelling project in Australia at the time of construction and the longest road tunnel before Airport Link. The tunnel reaches 60 meters under the Brisbane River and was built to withstand high water pressures.
BCS managed the waterproofing process for the tunnel and underground structures from 2007 – 2010. Under BCS supervision, up to 60 teams applied material for waterproofing, crack repair, crack-bridging and protective coatings to prevent carbonation. Our company also implemented an innovative new system for fire and smoke proofing.
The Clem 7 project showcased BCS’s ability to manage large projects and deliver tailored solutions.
